Business Intelligence is based on storing and sharing data. During your studies, you will learn the theory of operational database design and its implementation. Using modern software, you will master the concepts of normalization, database queries, and creating database applications.

Introduction to Data Warehousing

You will learn about the architecture of this warehouse, OLAP analytical processing, multidimensional data models, and other aspects related to the warehouse.

Business Intelligence Software Support

You will learn the ins and outs of the Business Intelligence concept, BI-related definitions, areas in which it is used, tools, platforms, and practical examples from business. You will master the basics of Business Intelligence software and learn about systems in a practical way, i.e.

IT Project Management

You will become familiar with different types of IT projects and learn the basics of ITIL. The main emphasis in this module will be on introducing IT project management methodologies - agile methodologies: AGILE, SCRUM. Classic standards, such as waterfall project management, as well as PRINCE2, PMBoK will also be mentioned to show the differences in approach to certain issues. You will take part in business simulations that allow for an even better understanding of project management methodologies.

Group work support systems

You will learn about the most commonly used systems to support teamwork in large and medium-sized enterprises, and in particular for bug tracking and project management. The greatest added value of this block will be practical work with an IT project in the Agile methodology using the industry standard Atlassian JIRA software. You will also hear about other software used in international corporations.
